Following our pledge in 2021 to plant one tree for every staff member by 2024, representatives from our Environmental & Planning Team, Krista Farrugia, Robbie Clarke, Ursula Daly, John Morris and Harry Reynolds returned to Wolfgang Forest on 7th March 2023 and planted an additional 80 native Irish trees; including Alder, Wild Cherry, Spindle, and Hazel.

Wolfgang Reforest have purchased 15 acres of land to restore with Ireland’s native tree species. The site is bordered by the Wicklow Way walking trail and is deep in the beautiful River Ow valley just beyond Aughrim, Co Wicklow.
This is the second phase of our tree planning initiative, with 80 trees planted previously in December 2021. Each tree that reaches maturity is expected to sequester 5 tonnes of CO2
over the course of its lifetime. Having planted 160 native Irish trees, we will have offset approximately 800 tonnes of carbon over the lifetime of the trees that have been planted thus far.
