We have undertaken studies in traffic & transportation for the development of urban sites and for assisting local authorities in developing strategies for traffic management in towns and urban areas of cities.
We use a number of specialist software packages to model traffic generation and to analyse both existing traffic flows and the effects of proposed improvements. Our modelling software includes Oscady, Arcady, Picady, TRICS and others. We have used these programmes extensively to understand the impacts of traffic schemes prior to implementing them on site.
We have also designed and implemented traffic management, traffic calming, bus corridor and cycle route schemes in many urban locations.
Road Safety reviews and inspections are carried out by Nicholas O’Dwyer as part of road and infrastructure schemes to identify any issues or aspects of the proposals which could give rise to safety concerns. We have carried out audits on schemes ranging in scope from private developments or community public facilities such as schools to major highway designs.
