Richard Crowe holds an overall managing brief for the development of business, delivery of projects and furthering of technical expertise in the company. He joined Nicholas O'Dwyer in 1988, was appointed to the role of head of department in 1994 and subsequently became managing director in 1998. His technical background is in structural engineering. Following qualification from UCD in 1975, he undertook research work for a postgraduate degree. His career since has been spent in Consulting Engineering in Ireland and overseas. He has over thirty years experience of the management, design, and of contract administration of engineering projects.

He is a currently a member of the Board of Examiners for Professional Titles of Engineers Ireland and of the Executive of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland.
